In 1999, he invented and patented a revolutionary ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry technology that made it possible to monitor human biochemistry comprehensively for the first time in history.<\/p><p>Using this advanced technology, Dr. Goodenowe analyzed blood samples from tens of thousands of persons of all ages, of all races, and from multiple countries. A diverse range of over 20 diseases, from autism to dementia and from colon cancer to heart disease, was studied. The biochemistry of young versus old and all-cause mortality was studied.
